PURI/INDIA
Inauguration of the Spirituality Center

St. Arnold’s Spirituality Center (Ishopanthi Ashram) was blessed by Archbishop Raphael CHEENATH, and inaugurated by Superior General, Antonio PERNIA, on January 21, 2006.

The centre is the realization of the long cherished vision and dream of Fr. Marian ZELAZEK.

He has been in India since 1950 and has made Puri his home from 1975.

The Centre seeks to give a Christian presence in the spirit and practice of dialogue. The vision of the Spirituality Centre is derived from the words of Jesus: “I am the way, the truth and the light; one who follows me will have the light and life.”

It hopes to promote following Jesus through the Indian traditional three fold paths of Jnana Marg (knowledge of the Truth), Bhakti Marg (loving devotion to the Divine) and Karma Marg (life giving action).

The members of the Spirituality Centre will assist and promote the experience of the Divine through the three fold paths.

The Center is open to seekers of God, Indian and foreign.

It will provide an atmosphere of silence, reflection and prayer with assistance for those who need it. Fr. Kurian THAZHATHUVEETTIL is the director of the Ashram.
