Ecumenical Calendar

The SVD community at Traian (Casa de Reculegere) has taken the initiative to publish an ecumenical calendar in Romania.

The Catholic- Orthodox calendar is distributed in the areas where the two communities live in the same neighborhood.

Orthodox priest Mihaita Popovici of „Precista Mare” parish in the city of Roman collaborated with the Catholics in this project.

The Calendar is clearly marked with the saint of the day and other feasts, both Catholic and Orthodox, which do not always fall on the same day for the two communities.

Alternate months have a colorful but significant Byzantine or catholic painting, along with a quotation from popular saints of the two communities.
