Zonal Assembly at Fatima

The EUROPA Zonal Assembly was held at Fatima, Portugal, from October 24-29, 2005.

There were 27 participants in all, including Superior General Fr. Antonio PERNIA and SSpS Coordinator for Europe, Sr. Cristel Daun.

Apart from the reports of the area coordinators, the topics discussed included Prophetic Dialogue, the internationalization of the European provinces and spirituality in the context of a rapidly secularizing Europe.

The group had an opportunity to experience the rich cultural heritage of Portugal with a guided tour of Batalha, Nazaré and Alcobaça.

The assembly drew the attention of the media in Portugal. Radio, Television and the local newspapers reported the event.
