Colloquium on Christianity

Secretary for formation, Fr. Thomas MALIPURATHU, took part in a colloquium on Christianity in India organized by the Portuguese province on the occasion of the 500th birth anniversary of the great missionary to India, St. Francis Xavier.

About 150 people took part in the programme at the Divine Word Seminary at Fatima, on December 3 and 4, 2005.

Indian confrere, Fr. Devendra BHURIYA, a member of the Portuguese province spoke about the animistic faith traditions in India and Sr. Emmie Vas SSpS, of the AJSC team explained the ministries of the SSpS in India.

Fr. Malipurathu recounted the history and development of the SVD mission in India. Later, he also met the seminarians and their formators in Lisbon.
