“Arnold Janssen Days” draw huge crowds

According to official figures more than a thousand pilgrims participated in the first Arnold Janssen Days organized from November 4-6, 2005, at Goch, the birthplace of St. Arnold.

Tickets for the musical the “Pelican” and the concert were sold out well in advance. Queues were long for those who wanted to visit the museum set up in front of the house of the Janssens.

A large number of faithful from Goch and around participated in the Mass celebrated by cardinals Adrianus Simonis (Utrecht), Joachim Meisner (Cologne) and Bishop Heinrich Janssen (Xanten).

The places where the conferences were organized overflowed with enthusiastic  participants. The programme was organized jointly by the civil authorities and the parish of Goch.
