International Conference on Nostra Aetate

To mark the 40th year of the publication of Nostra Aetate, the Pontifical Council for Inter-religious Dialogue (PCID) organized a fiveday international conference.

The mission seminary at St. Gabriel’s was the privileged venue for the conference. 21 experts from 12 countries took part in the conference held from September 8-13, 2005.

The theme of the conference was “Reflection on Religious Pluralism”. Fr. Markus SOLO (a specialist in Islamic studies) from St. Gabriel was the youngest participant. He was invited to the conference by Archbishop Michael Fitzgerald, the president of the PCID.
